Upon arriving at our detailing studio, this 2017 Dodge Challenger presented an interesting challenge. This vehicle’s vinyl was showing signs of wear, and the exterior had dents from a previous hailstorm. Before its visit to Dent Tech of Lexington for dent repairs, our skilled team tackled the essential task of carefully removing the vinyl. Using a steamer and heat gun, we patiently and diligently heated, peeled, and hand-removed each piece of vinyl. This time-consuming process set the stage for the Challenger's future restoration. Dent Tech of Lexington had enlisted our help to remove the vinyl, allowing them to better assess and repair the hail damage. The matte black vinyl had effectively concealed the dents until the vinyl was removed. Our team of experts spent over 11 man-hours safely removing the vinyl in an effort to preserve the paint due to its age and fragile condition. Meet Dre, one of GorillaShine's Allstars! Dre started working at GorillaShine in 2020 through his friend and current coworker, Caylon. Having an interest in cars, GorillaShine seemed to be a perfect fit. Since onboarding, Dre has completed his IDA CD-SV accreditations (International Detailing membership, Certified Detailer and Skills Validation).
